Account Succession & Authorized Access Policy

Last updated: March 2, 2026

This Account Succession & Authorized Access Policy (the "Policy") governs how Framework ("Company," "we," "us," "our") handles account access, data, files, and services in the event of a client's death, incapacity, or legal unavailability.

This Policy applies to all accounts, services, portals, files, and materials managed, hosted, or maintained by the Company.

  1. Purpose

The purpose of this Policy is to:

    • Protect client confidentiality and data security

    • Establish a clear, lawful process for account succession

    • Prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or transfer of information

    • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and contractual obligations

Nothing in this Policy creates an obligation to grant access except as determined by the Company in its sole discretion following verification.

  1. Designation of Account Successor

Clients may designate an Account Successor in writing during onboarding or at any time during the term of service.

An Account Successor is an individual expressly authorized by the client to assume control or management of the client's account upon the client's death or legal incapacity.

The designation must be received and acknowledged by the Company to be considered valid.

  1. Activation of Successor Access

Upon the death or incapacity of a client, a Designated Account Successor may request account access by submitting the required documentation.

    Required Verification

The Company may require, without limitation:

    • A certified copy of the death certificate, court order, or equivalent legal documentation

    • Valid government-issued photo identification of the requesting individual

    • Confirmation that the requesting individual matches the designated successor on record

    • Any additional documentation reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority

Access will not be granted until verification is completed to the Company's satisfaction.

  1. Absence of a Designated Account Successor

If no Account Successor has been designated, no individual or entity shall be entitled to access by default.

The Company will only consider access requests from a legally authorized representative, which may include:

    • A court-appointed executor or personal representative

    • A trustee acting under a valid trust

    • An individual granted authority by court order or legally recognized instrument

    Required Documentation

    Requests must include:

    • A certified copy of the death certificate or declaration of incapacity

    • Official documentation evidencing legal authority (e.g., letters testamentary, trust documents, court orders)

    • Valid government-issued identification

    • Any additional documentation required for verification

Requests lacking sufficient documentation will be denied.

  1. Scope and Method of Access

Granting control under this Policy does not imply unrestricted, permanent, or administrative control.

The Company reserves the right to:

    • Limit access to view-only or read-only permissions

    • Provide data exports in lieu of login credentials

    • Restrict access to specific files, services, or time periods

    • Require execution of confidentiality or non-disclosure acknowledgements

Access shall be limited strictly to materials owned or controlled by the client's account.

  1. Confidentiality and Third-Party Data

    The company will not disclose:

    • Information belonging to other clients

    • Proprietary systems, workflows, or internal methodologies

    • Third-party data not owned or controlled by the client

    • Materials subject to independent confidentiality or legal restrictions

The Company reserves the right to redact, withhold, or exclude data as necessary to protect confidentiality and legal compliance.

  1. Discretion and Legal Review

All requests under this Policy are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

The Company reserves the right to:

    • Request supplemental documentation

    • Delay access pending verification or legal review

    • Deny access where documentation is incomplete, disputed, or unclear

    • Decline involvement with probate, inheritance, or ownership disputes

    • Seek legal counsel prior to granting access

Approval of any request remains at the sole discretion of the Company

  1. No Determination of Ownership

The Company does not determine inheritance rights, ownership interests, or entitlement to assets.

Any access granted under this Policy is strictly administrative and does not constitute a determination of legal ownership, title, or rights.

  1. Processing Timeframes

Requests will be processed within a reasonable timeframe following receipt of complete documentation. Processing times may vary based on identification requirements and the complexity of the request.

The Company is not responsible for delays resulting from incomplete submissions or third-party processes.

  1. Policy Modifications

The Company may update this Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on the Company's website and will take effect upon publication.

Continued use of the Company's services constitutes acceptance of the current version of this policy.
